“ One of the oldest mobile diners in the country! They started with a horse-drawn carriage. They work in the dead of night in a sketchy part of Providence. But they sling great burgers and fries. Got to eat mine while a street person asked me for 2 and offered me candy in exchange, and then went off on a rant about how good Haven Brothers was. I agree! ”
“ Absolute staple in Providence, RI. Food is always great during late night hours and shakes are phenomenonal. They are open very late which also makes it an easy choice. I highly recommend Haven Bros!!! ”
“ I’ve been to Haven brothers diner many times over the years. The food has always been excellent, the service is always been great and the atmosphere is always electric, especially after dark. It’s a place where friends can go and dine after a night out in the city and enjoy a uniquely Rhode Island experience. ”
“ I happened upon this place by accident on my first trip to Rhode Island. Tom was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The Murder Burger was phenomenal. It was the Milkshake that blew my mind. With a million options I didn't want to go with my classic oreo so I mixed it up just slightly and went with the Golden Oreo. I'm not kidding when I say that might be the best milkshake I've ever had. I can see why celebrities and locals love this place! ”
“ Never been disappointed here. So historic. Well-priced, fresh bread for the hotdogs so they're super tasty. The milkshakes could probably be thicker though. Cajun spice doesn't taste like anything at all. ”
“ A great place to get a bite to eat right on the streets of downtown Providence! The rodeo cheeseburger was amazing! So we’re the onion rings, cheese fries and regular hamburger! Service was great! Very fast and friendly! Walk right in, order and pick up your food at the window outside. Prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend trying this place out! You will not be disappointed! ”
“ Being a diner guy, I had to check this place off my bucket list. A Tiny, tin establishment that cranks out nice sized deliciously topped burgers and I wolfed down a really tasty RI style weiner with fries. They have many flavored milkshakes to enjoy and some cool pictures of how the place has been in movies and shows. Only downside, no bathrooms and I couldn't find one for a 6 year old in the city hall area. It's definitely a cool experience with good grub and I'd like to try more menu items next time. ”
“ I'd say definitely come try this place at least once. It was fun to order inside and experience the mobile diner that has been around since 1893. Inside there are photos of movies and shows that have featured the diner, which was fun to see. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had, but it was big and was good. We had the Original and the After Dark. The Haven style fries were good! My kids really liked the fried dough and churros. Would recommend it for the experience. ”
